Family/Parent Peer Support Specialist - Mobile Response and Stabilization Services (MRSS) Coleman Health Services is a nationally recognized not-for-profit provider of behavioral health and rehabilitation programs to foster recovery, build independence, and change destinies for individuals, families, and businesses in our community. We are seeking a Family/Parent Peer Support Specialist to provide peer support services throughout Portage County , Ohio, as a member of the Mobile Response and Stabilization Services (MRSS) Team. The Family/Parent Peer Support Specialist provides guidance, hope and support towards recovery through personal experience and growth on a reciprocal basis. Multiple shifts available for a flexible schedule. Pay starts at $18 per hour! Duties Include : Mentor and assist youth and families through mental health crises and restore calm within the family Assist in identifying resources, supports and services based on youth and family needs Work collaboratively with other members of the Mobile Response and Stabilization Services (MRSS) Team to further support youth and families throughout the stabilization and transition phases Function as part of an interdisciplinary team and develop and maintain effective relationships with community professionals Certified Family/Parent Peer Support Specialist through the Ohio Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services or willing to obtain this certification (we will assist!) Have lived experience as a parent or caregiver of a child who has been involved with behavioral healthcare services Have and maintain an excellent driving record Have high school diploma or equivalent Benefits options include health, life, pension, paid time off, and more.
