Responsibilities Perform basic and intermediate computed tomography (CT) procedures under the direction of the radiologist. Operate CT equipment to perform basic and intermediate diagnostic procedures, including body, head, chest, abdomen, pelvis, contrast, orthopedic, and extremity scans. Obtain medical history from patients and compare requisitions to physicians’ orders to ensure exam accuracy. Position patients, select proper scanning factors, adjust factors to attain appropriate images, and provide radiation protection and safety according to regulatory agencies. Prepare and administer contrast media under the direction of the radiologist, assist in proper scanning techniques, and provide measurements and additional slices for accurate interpretation. Post‑process images as directed and accurately identify and label images with patient name, medical record unit (MRU) number, and scan location or position on all images. Prepare and maintain records in accordance with regulatory agencies, enter patient and study information into the radiology information system, and document billing codes of procedures performed to ensure accurate patient charges. Identify equipment performance issues and perform quality‑assurance tests and calibration procedures; report malfunctioning equipment to the appropriate staff and evaluate new products and equipment. Perform patient positioning and transportation duties, including lifting and pushing/pulling, while utilizing proper technique. Licenses & Certifications Radiographer license issued by the state of Wisconsin. Registered Technologist (RT) registration issued by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). Computed Tomography (CT) registration issued by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) to be obtained within 18 months. Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) to be obtained within 6 months. Degrees Advanced training beyond high school that includes the completion of an accredited or approved program in radiologic technology. Required Experience No experience required. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Knowledge of cross‑sectional anatomy and basic radiation safety. Competent in IV and venipuncture (if required by facility). Excellent communication, interpersonal, and patient service skills to work effectively with physicians, patients, and other staff members. Ability to work independently. Intermediate computer skills. Team members will maintain annual educational requirements for hospital‑based certifications (e.g., DNV, CARF, or others). Salary Pay range: $35.50 – $53.25 per hour.
