Job Title: Operating Room Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day 4x10-Hour Hours per Shift: 10 Experience: Minimum of 5 years in the acute care operating room setting License: South Carolina or Multi-State/Compact RN license Certifications: BLS Must-Have: Strong in general surgery, neuro, ortho, ENT, and GYN Description: About the Position Position/Specialty: Operating Room Registered Nurse Shift: 4x10s, 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM On-call required: Yes, two late calls till 11 PM per week and every third to fourth weekend. Weekend requirements: Every third to fourth weekend. Will travelers float between service lines? No. Floating to sister facilities? No. First time travelers accepted: Yes, if they have a broad scope of specialty competency. Trauma Level: This facility is a Level 3 trauma center. Clienttion badge required: Yes. Must be provided by the agency, as the facility does not provide radiation badges to travelers. Open to accommodating a block schedule? Requires manager's approval upon request, dependent on unit needs. Local radius rule: 60-mile radius. Locals accepted: No local travelers accepted. All time-off requests must be included at the time of submission. The facility can call off one shift per two weeks. Called-off hours can be broken down to add up to one shift. Hurricane season: Travelers should be aware that during hurricane season, all employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams. If this is a problem, please ensure that travelers do not confirm a new or extended assignment during the season. Hurricane season runs from June through November each year. The peak months for hurricane activity are August and September.
