Patient Account Rep Full-Time Metropolitan Behavioral Health (a UHS Facility) A growing 144-bed behavioral health facility – Metropolitan Behavioral Hospital provides a full continuum of inpatient services across the entire patient population, including specialty programs to serve adolescents, adults and older adults, and perform behavioral health assessments 24 hours a day. Additionally, programs for co-occurring behavioral health and substance use issues are offered to meet the unique needs of this patient population. For more information, please visit our website: Position Summary The Patient Account Rep (PAR) processes all statements on in-house and discharged patients. Maintains follow-up and collection activity including letters, telephone and personal contact. Maintains patient financial file and documentation, advises, informs and assists the patient/guarantor/family in regard to hospital financial policies. Performs other related duties including, but not limited to, verification of benefits, patient financial assessments, assisting patients with Medicaid Applications and other various clerical responsibilities as assigned. Qualifications Education and Experience Education: High school diploma or GED is required; medical billing certificate and/or training is preferred Experience: Two‑years of medical business office experience is strongly preferred.
