Summary

The Senior Communications Specialist is a highly versatile communications professional who serves as a key contributor to the Global Corporate Communications team. This role combines communications expertise with strong operational, and project coordination capabilities to support enterprise-wide initiatives, strategic communications, and team operations.

As a true utility player , this individual flexes across communications channels, content development, event support, budget management, and operational processes to help the team achieve its goals. The ideal candidate is equally comfortable drafting compelling communications, managing project details, coordinating quarterly meetings, tracking budgets, and stepping in wherever support is needed.

This position requires a proactive, highly organized professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, manages multiple priorities effectively, and contributes positively to a collaborative team culture.

Hollister Incorporated operates in a hybrid work environment. Employees are expected to come into the office in Libertyville, IL a minimum of 4 days per week. Sponsorship to work in the US is not available at this time.

Responsibilities

Communications & Content Development

• Create, edit, and publish engaging communications across internal channels, including intranet, digital signage, newsletters, leadership communications, videos, presentations, and employee communications.
• Draft announcements, talking points, scripts, executive communications, and storytelling content that translate complex information into clear, compelling messages.
• Support enterprise-wide communications campaigns and strategic initiatives through content development and execution.
• Ensure consistency of messaging, tone, and brand standards across all communication platforms.
• Bring creativity and strong storytelling skills to enhance associate engagement and support business objectives.

Quarterly Meetings & Enterprise Event Support

• Support planning and execution of quarterly business meetings, leadership forums, sales meetings, and enterprise-wide events.
• Coordinate timelines, presentation development, meeting materials, speaker support, and stakeholder inputs.
• Assist in content collection, logistics coordination, and communication plans associated with major organizational events.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution and high-quality participant experiences.

Operational Support

• Serve as a key operational resource for the Global Corporate Communications team.
• Maintain project plans, content calendars, schedules, meeting logistics, and team documentation.
• Coordinate team processes and operational activities that support communications priorities.
• Develop and maintain templates, tools, standard operating procedures, and workflows that improve team efficiency.
• Assist leadership with reporting, presentation preparation and coordination as needed.

Budget Management & Financial Administration

• Support budget administration and tracking for communications projects and activities.
• Manage purchase orders, invoice processing, vendor payments, accrual tracking, and budget reconciliation activities.
• Maintain departmental budgets, forecasts, and reporting tools.
• Assist with Annual Operating Plan (AOP) planning, budget tracking, and spending analysis.
• Partner with Finance and vendors to ensure accurate financial reporting and stewardship of communications investments.

Project Coordination & Team Support

• Manage communications projects from concept through execution, ensuring deadlines, quality standards, and stakeholder expectations are met.
• Coordinate resources, deliverables, timelines, and project updates across multiple initiatives.
• Support data collection, measurement, and reporting efforts to evaluate communications effectiveness.
• Adapt quickly to changing priorities and provide support wherever needed to ensure team success.
• Act as a dependable team player who contributes across projects and functions to help achieve shared goals.

Education & Work Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree with 5-8 years of related experience

Education & Work Preferences

• 5-8 years of experience in corporate communications, internal communications, communications operations, project management, or a related field.
• Experience supporting enterprise communications initiatives and executive communications.
• Experience managing budgets, tracking expenses, and supporting financial administration preferred.
• Experience coordinating large meetings, events, or communication campaigns preferred.

Our Total Rewards package in aggregate is above market and includes competitive pay, paid time off programs, peer-to-peer recognition, health and life insurance, wellness programs and incentives, and generous retirement savings.

• The anticipated base pay range for this position is $76,000 - $110,000 yearly. The actual salary varies based on applicant's location, education, experience, skills, abilities, and other legitimate business factors.
• This position is also eligible to participate in the Hollister Corporate Bonus Plan.
