Caregiver / Personal Care Assistant / Part-Time

Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced caregiver to provide dedicated support to clients with dementia or Alzheimer's in an individual client assignment. This live-out position focuses on delivering personal care, mobility assistance, emotional support, and safety supervision to enhance clients' quality of life and ensure their well-being, especially during nighttime hours.

Responsibilities

Provide personal care, including assisting with bathroom visits and safely returning clients to bed
Offer mobility assistance to help clients move safely and comfortably
Deliver emotional support tailored to clients with dementia or Alzheimer's
Ensure client safety and prevent falls, particularly during the night
Respond promptly and calmly if the client wakes up confused or disoriented
Supervise clients to maintain a secure environment
Perform light housekeeping related to client care

Required Qualifications

Minimum 3 years of caregiving experience
High school diploma or equivalent
Experience with patient assistance, especially in dementia care
Strong communication and empathy skills
Effective time management abilities
Ability to perform housekeeping tasks as part of caregiving duties

Preferred Qualifications

Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification
