This role provides technical leadership and mentorship to a team of electrical engineers, ensuring designs meet performance, safety, regulatory, and quality standards while staying on schedule and within budget.The Electrical Engineering Lead collaborates cross-functionally with mechanical and manufacturing engineering teams, as well as project management and manufacturing, to deliver integrated solutions from concept through production. This individual serves as the primary technical authority on electrical engineering matters, driving design reviews, resolving complex technical issues, and establishing best practices, standards, and processes for the engineering team.ResponsibilitiesLead the design and development of electrical systems, circuits, and components (schematics, PCB layout, power distribution, control systems, etc.)Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and performance feedback to electrical engineersReview and approve designs, drawings, and specifications for accuracy and compliance with industry standardsManage project timelines, resource allocation, and technical risk for electrical engineering deliverablesInterface with suppliers, contractors, and cross-functional teams to ensure design integration and manufacturabilitySupport testing, validation, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis of electrical systemsStay current with emerging technologies and recommend improvements to processes, tools, and designsSkills and QualificationsBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent related work experience7–10+ years of relevant electrical engineering experience, with prior leadership or mentoring experienceStrong knowledge of circuit design, power systems, embedded systems, or controls (HED and electrical systems related to upfitting mobile equipment a plus)Proficiency with design/simulation tools as well as developing test equipmentExcellent communication, project management, and problem-solving skillsAdditional RequirementsMust adhere to all safety policies and procedures.Team player who is results-oriented and motivated to achieve high standards in every aspect of the role.Contingencies of EmploymentSuccessful completion of a background check, pre-employment drug screen and physical examination.Successful completion of a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check, if applicable to the position.Equal Opportunity EmployerLife Line is an equal opportunity employer.
