Make a positive impact in the lives of students as a Special Education Teacher on a contract assignment starting as soon as possible and extending through late May 2027. Multiple positions are available for passionate educators with expertise in both inclusion and adaptive settings across K-12 age groups. You’ll provide essential support, instruction, and advocacy for learners while collaborating within multidisciplinary teams to foster meaningful educational growth.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid North Carolina Special Education Certification is required
• Experience supporting students with varied learning needs in K-12 settings
• Previous work in inclusion and adaptive classrooms is highly valued
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and colleagues
• Ability to develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Adaptability and resourcefulness in dynamic school environments

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver specialized instruction to students per IEP goals in both inclusion and adaptive settings
• Assess and address academic and social-emotional needs for diverse learners
• Work collaboratively with general education teachers and school teams to provide effective accommodations and modifications
• Maintain detailed records of student progress and required documentation
• Foster a nurturing, engaging classroom atmosphere for optimal student growth
• Communicate regularly with families to support student development
• Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and professional development opportunities
