This role offers hands-on training with experienced technicians, providing an opportunity to build skills in industrial maintenance while helping maintain safe and efficient operations.What's in it for you?Elwood Staffing associates are eligible for a comprehensive and competitive benefits package plus an exclusive savings program, including:Medical/Vision/Dental/Rx plansHoliday PayTeladoc (online care)Referral Bonus IncentiveWeekly Pay401kAnd More!Preventative Maintenance Technician Details:Temp-to-Hire position$ 18.00 / hourFull Time work availableSecond Shift (Monday through Friday from 03:00pm to 11:00pm)Operate a forklift daily to complete tasksPerform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on equipmentMonitor coolant levels; maintain coolant and washer logsCheck and maintain oil and lubrication; monitor performance, gauges, and filtersPerform basic cleaning duties, including trash removalFollow all safety and quality proceduresComplete required computer tasksCommunicate effectively in English in a fast-paced environmentGain hands-on experience in industrial maintenance and develop technical skillsPreventative Maintenance Technician Qualifications:HS Diploma/GED RequiredStrong interest in industrial maintenance, mechanical systems, or manufacturing operationsAbility to safely operate or willingness to learn to operate a forklift (certification a plus)Basic mechanical aptitude with the ability to use hand and power toolsAbility to read gauges, logs, and basic equipment indicators (pressure, oil levels, coolant levels, etc.)Basic computer skills for completing maintenance logs and required system entriesComfortable performing physical work, including lifting, standing, bending, and walking for extended periodsApplicant may be subject to a background checkPre-employment drug screen is required as a condition of employment*A conviction record will not necessarily prevent you from being employed.
