What You'll Do

• Prepare and dispense medications accurately per physician requests
• Interpret drug orders and verify into patient records
• Compound and dispense sterile and non-sterile pharmaceuticals, including chemotherapy and parenteral nutrition
• Maintain controlled substances records in compliance with law
• Provide clinical medication management, including anticoagulation and drug therapy monitoring
• Collaborate with healthcare teams during interdisciplinary rounds
• Offer drug education to patients and families
• Support pharmacy operations and supervise pharmacy support personnel
• Participate in quality improvement and medication safety activities
• Assist with pharmacokinetic and renal dosing consultations as needed

What You Need

• Valid Louisiana Pharmacy license
• BLS certification (required); ACLS preferred
• Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or BS Pharmacy degree
• Hospital pharmacy experience preferred, especially with ICU, cardiology, ED, behavioral health, or orthopedic units
• Strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and ability to work flexible hours
