AML Analyst

Overview Dime Commercial Bank is currently hiring for an Associate Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) Analyst role at its Headquarters in Hauppauge, Long Island. The Associate BSA Analyst is responsible for the preparation of Currency Transaction Reports (CTR), as well as transaction alert monitoring and other activities as assigned by BSA Management. The team is willing to train. Salary: $50,000 to $57,500 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Compensation may vary by experience, skills, education, training, licensure, certifications, and location. Responsibilities Review suspect CTRs in the bank’s Transaction Monitoring Software to determine if a CTR is required. Reconcile and prepare the bank’s CTRs; file CTRs after QA completion. Perform other CTR-related duties, including amendments, back filings, and transmitting electronic files to FinCEN as assigned. Perform Annual CTR Exemption reviews per department procedures. Provide assistance to branches and internal departments with cash transaction questions and accurate CTR preparation. Conduct research related to CTRs as requested by BSA Management. Review and evaluate transaction monitoring alerts as assigned. Contact branches for additional information to explain potentially unusual or suspicious activity related to CTRs or alert reviews. Escalate investigations of suspicious transactions, preparing draft investigation narratives and gathering supporting documentation per guidelines. Perform other duties or special projects assigned by BSA Management. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree preferred. Minimum two years’ experience in the financial services/banking industry; prior BSA/AML experience not required. General understanding of BSA/AML and OFAC laws, regulations, and guidance. Ability to understand, interpret, convey, and implement pertinent laws and regulations. Strong independent and team-oriented work capability. Professional collaboration with other business units. Strong transactional research, analytical, multitasking, and problem‑solving skills. Excellent verbal and written communication, organizational, and follow‑up skills.
