DevOps Engineer I - ArcGIS Enterprise

OverviewJoin our team of talented, dynamic, and passionate engineers who work with diverse technologies to develop and deliver state-of-the-art geospatial server-side software. In this role, you will design, implement, and oversee process workflows, CI/CD pipelines, deployment frameworks, deployment artifacts for installation and patches and build systems required for generating release-ready versions of the on-premises ArcGIS Enterprise stack, comprising ArcGIS Server, Portal for ArcGIS, and ArcGIS DataStore, which are collectively being used by thousands of users across the globe.We are working towards modernizing our build systems and processes to fit into newer microservices-based architecture as well as continually adopting and integrating newer industry standards in our processes and workflows. Join us and help us build the next generation of ArcGIS Enterprise.ResponsibilitiesDesign, implement, and orchestrate build and deployment frameworks for delivering the software products listed aboveProvide integration points for the products with the various install (InstallAnywhere, InstallShield) and deployment (AWS AMI, Azure, Docker containers, Vagrant) technologiesWork closely with various app and other teams for bringing in new features and components into the product stack, providing support for builds, code obfuscation, third-party dependency management and other release-specific tasks for these componentsParticipate in development of continuous integration software build systemsDesign and implement monitoring systems and test frameworks for various build process and artifactsIdentify process bottlenecks and implement solutionsWork with various documentation and localization teams to integrate the content from these teams into daily build processesSupport and oversee third-party dependency management across the product stack from the point of view of vulnerability, licensing, and versioningOversee and support maintenance and patch requests on previous versions of the applicationsRequirements1+ years of relevant work experience in the following areas:JavaMaven, Ant, GroovyContinuous integration, continuous deployment, Git, JenkinsLinux servers and shell scriptingStrong problem solving and debugging skillsExperience with multi-tiered software applications (web, databases, middleware, and more)Understanding of large, high performance, highly scalable, resilient server-based architectures including replication/failover, distributed architectures, caches, and securityBachelor's degree in computer science or related fieldRecommended QualificationsExperience with Kubernetes, Docker, and Github ActionsAbility to collaborate across teams on SDLCFamiliarity with Windows MSI/MSP technologies, performance monitoring (JMeter, JProfiler), and L10N/I18N in app developmentMaster’s degree in computer science or related field#LI-TA1#LI-onsiteTotal RewardsEsri’s competitive total rewards strategy includes industry-leading health and welfare benefits: medical, dental, vision, basic and supplemental life insurance for employees (and their families), 401(k) and profit-sharing programs, minimum accrual of 80 hours of vacation leave, twelve paid holidays throughout the calendar year, and opportunities for personal and professional growth.
