Job Description The Registered Nurse (RN) is a professional caregiver who assumes responsibility and accountability for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care. The staff RN utilizes the nursing process by use of technology, therapeutic intervention, evidence‑based practice, and coordination of care with other health team members. Scope of Practice Assess, recognize, and address patients psychological and physical needs. Foster quality of care with the best interests of patients and their families in mind. Communicate compassionately and effectively. Assist in developing individualized treatment plans. Comply with evaluation, treatment, and documentation guidelines. Oversee care delivered by LPNs and/or CNAs; participate in clinical team conferences. Follow hospital, regulatory, and professional guidelines, policies and procedures. Responsibilities See and read information, labels, assess patient needs, operate monitors, identify equipment and supplies. Frequent interactions with patient care providers, patients, and visitors that require verbal communication and rapid interpretation of alarms, needs, and issues. Operate complex and delicate equipment with precision, including frequent computer use and typing for documenting patient care and medication preparation. Lift and utilize full range of movement to transfer patients and carry supplies and equipment, including items of varying weights. Assist with transporting/ambulating patients and distributing supplies, including pushing/pulling gurneys and portable equipment. Stand or sit for extended periods while performing work on a computer, telephone, or other equipment. Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. Qualifications Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing. RN with an ASN/ADN must complete a BSN within four years from hire date unless having 15 years of continuous acute‑care RN experience. Current RN license in the state of practice. Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS‑HCP) certification upon hire or within 60 days of hire (ACLS/NRP/PALS as appropriate for unit). Shift Details & Benefits Full time, variable shifts with differentials for evenings, nights, and weekends. Scheduled weekly hours: 36. Hourly rate: $38.37 – $56.17 (actual rate based on experience).
