Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical-Surgical/Telemetry Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Hours (07:00 - 19:30) Experience: Minimum of 2 years required License: Active nursing license required Certifications: BLS required, ACLS preferred, NIHSS preferred Must-Have: - EKG exam passage required during onboarding - Ability to manage patients with respiratory conditions and general medical/surgical diagnoses - Experience with palliative, end-of-life, and hospice care - Competency in managing diabetes and post-surgical patients - Previous charge nurse experience preferred - Epic charting system experience required Description: This position is for a registered nurse specializing in medical-surgical and telemetry care. The role requires EKG knowledge due to patient population needs. The nurse will primarily care for medical-surgical patients, with occasional telemetry responsibilities. The schedule includes three 12-hour day shifts each week, including weekend rotation as needed. Floating to other units may occur based on patient census. The registered nurse will provide care for various patient diagnoses, including respiratory issues and diabetes complications. Experience in managing surgical patients and post-operative care is essential. The nursing team will collaborate with interdisciplinary services including therapy and social services. Candidates must be prepared to provide high-quality care in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication skills and an ability to interpret dysrhythmias are critical. All travelers in this role will need to possess foundational nursing skills and a commitment to patient-centered care.
