Accounting Specialist

Randstad is partnering with a leading specialty fastener and hardware distributor to identify a qualified Accounting Associate. The company specializes in the sourcing, distribution, and inventory management of engineered fasteners, hardware, and related components across various industrial and commercial sectors.

salary: $23 - $25 per hour
shift: First
work hours: 8 AM - 5 PM
education: No Degree Required

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Transaction Processing: Process daily wire transfers and credit card sales.

• Account Reconciliation & Maintenance: Maintain customer consolidated statements and resolve transaction discrepancies.

• Bookkeeping & Documentation: Perform core bookkeeping functions, clerical support, and prepare routine financial documents.

• Inquiry Resolution: Research and resolve billing, payment, and account inquiries from vendors, customers, and internal departments.

• Audit Support: Assist the accounting team with preparation and schedules for year-end audits.

Technical Skills & Qualifications

• Core Accounting Knowledge: Working knowledge of basic accounting principles and General Ledger (GL) workflows.

• Experience: Hands-on experience working with Accounts Payable (A/P) and Accounts Receivable (A/R).

• Software Proficiencies:
  • Accounting and database software
    
    
  • Microsoft Office Suite (intermediate/advanced proficiency in Excel and Word)
    
    
  • Experience with Billtrust and Oracle AP is a plus
