Phlebotomist- Float

Labcorp seeks a float phlebotomist for their Perth Amboy, New Jersey laboratory. This position involves collecting blood specimens using various techniques, performing data entry, processing billing, and traveling between multiple locations. The role offers exposure to diverse clinical settings and patient populations.

Responsibilities

• Collect blood specimens using venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
• Collect specimens for specialized tests including drug screens, paternity, and alcohol tests
• Perform accurate and timely patient data entry and maintain specimen information logs
• Prepare collected specimens for testing and process billing and payments
• Travel to additional laboratory sites as needed to support operations

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• One or more years phlebotomy experience or accredited certification
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record
• Pass color blindness test
• At least 21 years old
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and under minimal supervision

Compensation: $17.75-$25.00 per hour plus $1.00/hr float incentive and mileage reimbursement
