Truck Dispatcher

Bower's Trucking is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and results-driven Truck Dispatcher to join our fast-growing transportation team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating freight movements, communicating with drivers and brokers, maximizing truck profitability, and ensuring on-time deliveries while maintaining exceptional customer service. Key Responsibilities Dispatch and coordinate drivers for daily freight operations. Source and book profitable loads through load boards and broker relationships. Negotiate freight rates to maximize revenue and minimize deadhead miles. Monitor driver locations and delivery schedules. Communicate with drivers, brokers, and customers regarding load updates. Manage load documentation, rate confirmations, and dispatch records. Resolve issues related to delays, breakdowns, and route changes. Ensure compliance with DOT regulations and company policies. Build and maintain strong relationships with brokers and customers. Qualifications Previous experience as a Truck Dispatcher, Freight Dispatcher, or Logistics Coordinator preferred. Strong knowledge of load boards such as DAT and Truckstop. Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills. Ability to multitask and perform under pressure. Strong computer proficiency and familiarity with dispatch software. Knowledge of trucking regulations and freight operations. Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and attention to detail.
