Pharmacy Technician

Title: Pharmacy Technician
Duration: 3 months contract + Contract to Hire
Location: Tampa, FL
Shift: M-F 6:00PM-2:00AM and work every other weekend from 10:30AM-7:30PM.

Roles & Responsibilities:
Accurately fill prescription orders under the supervision of a pharmacist
Select and pull medications from inventory shelves, medication bins, and prepack storage areas
Prepare medications for final pharmacist verification and dispensing
Package finished medications and products according to established procedures
Meet productivity and accuracy standards while maintaining attention to detail
Apply labels to blister cards and medication packaging
Scan medications and prescription orders to verify accuracy
Identify and report scanning discrepancies, labeling issues, or product concerns to the pharmacist
Follow all applicable federal, state, and local pharmacy regulations
Maintain compliance with HIPAA privacy and confidentiality requirements

Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED equivalent
Active, unrestricted Florida Pharmacy Technician License
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
Ability to work efficiently and accurately in a production-oriented environment

Preferred Qualifications:
Previous Pharmacy Technician experience
Experience in:
Retail Pharmacy
Long-Term Care Pharmacy
Mail Order Pharmacy
Central Fill Pharmacy
Fulfillment Pharmacy Operations
Familiarity with medication packaging, inventory control, and pharmacy workflow systems
Experience working in a fast-paced healthcare environment
