Department Highlights: 10-bed Dismissal Lounge for 833-bed MAGNET facility MAGNET, Level I Trauma Center Primary Heart Attack Center PHAC Self-Scheduling that helps with work/life balance as well as opportunities for educational and career growth Robust Unit Based Council (UBC) and engaged leadership team Here’s What You Need: Nursing Diploma or Associate Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred Current RN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the Texas Board of Nursing upon hire CLIAFE - Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency BCLS - prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly ACLS - within 90 days of hire required CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training - within 90 days of hire NIHSS - required for ICU/PCU Neighborhood 6 Months Req 1-year experience as a registered nurse or completion of an RN residency program required One (1) year of RN experience in acute care hospital strongly preferred What You Will Do: Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process assesses the patient plans the care of the patient intervenes as appropriate evaluates the effectiveness of intervention Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.
