Personal Support Aide – Live In (7 days on / 7 days off) At Seeds of Hope, we work to create a structured environment for individuals with special needs, enhancing their quality of life and providing opportunities to reach their full potential. Schedule: Live‑in (7 days on / 7 days off) – Working Monday 2 pm to Monday 9 am. You are off between the hours of 9 am–2 pm (Monday–Friday). Responsibilities Attend to daily living activities for residents at a residential care facility. Administer personal care, such as ambulation or personal hygiene assistance. Prepare and maintain records of client progress and services performed, reporting changes in client condition to manager or supervisor. Perform housekeeping duties, including cooking, cleaning, washing clothes or dishes, or running errands. Provide companionship, personal care, and assistance with adjusting to new lifestyles. Monitor vital signs and medication and perform other healthcare‑related tasks. Transport residents to external locations such as physicians' offices or outings using a motor vehicle. Plan, shop for, or prepare nutritious meals or assist families in planning, shopping for, and preparing nutritious meals. Qualifications High school graduate or G.E.D. certificate. Evidence of a CNA or Home Health Aide Skills Assessment Certificate (if not licensed, must pass the Home Health Aide Skills Assessment, which is provided in‑house). Current CPR Certificate is recommended. Possess a caring and understanding attitude toward elderly, disabled or frail individuals. Be flexible and tolerant of varied lifestyles. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities (preferred). Strong interpersonal communication skills with clients. One year of experience providing support services in a similar environment (preferred). Ability to work under supervision and follow a care plan. Ability to read, write, speak and understand English as needed for the job. Valid driver’s license and use of an insured automobile or access to adequate transportation. Basic Job Requirements Tuberculosis screening test results. Physical exam. First‑Aid certification. CPR certification. Recent motor vehicle report (if insured, obtain from insurance provider; if not, request from DMV at minimal cost).
