Employee focused.Job TitlePerforms engineering and/or project management duties related to Refined Products and Crude oil assets.Job Profile SummaryPerforms engineering and/or project management duties related to one or more functional areas that may include: pipeline system planning and analysis, storage terminal operation, pump station and terminal design; processing and/or storage facility operation; and/or estimating, designing, and managing construction projects.Final grade and wage will be commensurate with background, skills, and experience.Essential Functions and ResponsibilitiesPerform and support engineering and/or project management activities related to design, procurement, construction, or optimization of company assets including but not limited to:Liquid pipelines, storage terminals, pump stations, and measurement.Terminal storage, including above ground storage tanks, transfer pumps, manifolds, vapor recovery, truck loading/unloading, marine vessel loading/unloading, gas liquid and liquid piping.Construction plans and implementationManagement of third-party contract resourcesProvide technical and/or engineering assistance on matters including but not limited to:Equipment/system designPipeline sizing and evaluationPipeline controlPipeline facility design, construction, operation, and maintenancePolicies and proceduresProcess SafetySupport project management activities including but not limited to:Bid proposals and contractsAFE preparation and cost managementManagement of Change (MOC)Material/equipment specifications and selectionConstruction plans and supportCreating and updating schedules / timelinesPreparing project progress and other reportsManaging change ordersIdentify equipment efficiencies, complete hydraulic calculations, determine valve and pipeline sizing and perform engineering analysis.Research, compile and/or prepare information including but not limited to:Engineering studiesGovernmental rules, regulations, codes and standardsPipeline and/or measurement system analyses and recommendationsHydrocarbon processing and/or measurement bid proposalsConstruction and/or measurement contractsCost estimatesMaterial specifications/selectionsProvide support for various assets and find recommendations for improvements related to capacity, operating costs, operability, process safety and environmental compliance to get approved by leadership.Assist and perform some evaluation with various measurement system designs and make recommendations for improvements related to station capacity and operating costs, to increase accuracy of measurement system and downstream reporting systems.Assist with and/or perform economic analysis related to potential new projects, including but not limited to operational cost estimates, determining equipment efficiencies, and needed enhancements and conducting preliminary studies for potential acquisitions.Assist with the implementation of new processes.EducationBachelor's Degree in engineering and the following job related experience preferred:Work Experience5-12 years of experience in an engineering related role with project management.Experience in engineering design and knowledge of criteria for pipeline or storage systemsExperience in engineering, operations and/or project managementExperience in use and function of applications such as: Microsoft Excel, Project, Access, Word, etc.Experience researching and preparing project materials and design specifications, contracts, agreements, budgets, engineering studies, and other relevant reports, forms, and correspondenceExperience identifying, researching, understanding, evaluating, and prioritizing operational problems and coordinating appropriate action/responseKnowledge, Skills and AbilitiesKnowledge of: pipelines and/or hydrocarbon processing and related facilities design, construction, operation, and maintenanceAbility to: read and interpret governmental regulations, blueprints, contracts, manuals, specifications, surveys, charts, load studies, and other relevant reports and correspondenceAbility to: manage and prioritize assignments with competing deadlinesAbility to: apply math, algebraic formulas, and statistical methodsAbility to: interact, negotiate and communicate effectivelyAbility to: operate office tools and equipment requiredAbility to: communicate thoughts, ideas, information, messages, and other written information, which may contain technical material, in a logical, organized, and coherent mannerLicenses and CertificationsNone requiredFE/EIT or PE preferred.Strength Factor Rating - Physical Demands/RequirementsSedentary Work - Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally (Occasionally: activity or condition exists up to 1/3 of the time) and/or a negligible amount of force frequently (Frequently: activity or condition exists from 1/3 to 2/3 of the time) to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body.
