HOUSEKEEPER

Location : Stony Brook, NY 11794 Shift time: 7AM - 3:30PM,and 3PM - 11:30PM and 11PM - 7:30AM Responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary environment within a healthcare facility. Duties include cleaning patient and common areas, handling hazardous materials, reporting maintenance needs, and ensuring infection control standards. Requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and strong communication skills. Weekend availability and shift flexibility are essential.
Job Responsibilities:
- Perform routine cleaning and sanitation of patient rooms, restrooms, and facility areas using proper equipment and safety protocols.
- Handle hazardous waste, replenish supplies, and report maintenance or repair needs.
- Support infection control standards and assist in training or overseeing lower-level cleaning staff.
- Strong attention to detail with knowledge of cleaning procedures, safety, and infection control standards.
- Physical stamina and reliability to perform repetitive tasks and work scheduled shifts, including weekends.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills; ability to follow instructions and train or assist others as needed.
- Min 6 months exp. preferably in healthcare setting.
- Must live within 25miles of the facility.
- Must be able to work scheduled hours(No special scheduling)
- Required to work weekends
- 2 weeks of training on Day and Evening shift.
