Senior Accountant

Senior AccountantThe Senior Accountant will join a growing accounting team in Fort Lauderdale and play a key role in managing the month-end close process, supporting financial reporting, and improving accounting processes. This role contributes directly to the organization's ability to scale through continued growth and acquisitions and offers a strong long-term career path with potential progression to a Controller-level position.ResponsibilitiesManage and execute the month-end close process accurately and on schedule.Prepare, review, and reconcile balance sheet accounts to ensure completeness and accuracy.Support the preparation and analysis of financial statements and other financial reporting deliverables.Perform revenue accounting activities and ensure proper recording and recognition of revenue.Review accounting work prepared by others and provide coaching and mentoring to team members.Contribute to the improvement and standardization of accounting processes and controls.Support acquisition-related accounting, including integration of new entities into existing financial systems and processes.Collaborate with colleagues across the organization to provide clear, timely financial information that supports decision-making.Maintain compliance with relevant accounting standards and internal policies.Essential SkillsStrong experience managing the month-end close process.Proficiency in preparing and reconciling balance sheets and other key financial statements.Solid background in accounting and financial reporting, including revenue accounting.Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or active CPA candidate.Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.Experience in public accounting, ideally with a smaller audit firm or similar environment.Experience supporting acquisition accounting and post-acquisition integrations.Ability to review, coach, and mentor other accounting professionals.Demonstrated work ethic and ability to manage responsibilities in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with financial statement analysis and supporting management reporting.Background in smaller audit firms or mid-sized professional services environments.Comfort working in a growing organization undergoing frequent acquisitions.Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in all accounting tasks.Ability to identify opportunities to streamline and improve accounting processes.Effective communication skills to explain financial information to non-finance stakeholders.Work EnvironmentThis position is based in an in-office environment in Fort Lauderdale, working on-site five days per week from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM. The role is embedded within a collaborative accounting team that supports a growing organization with ongoing acquisitions, providing exposure to complex, dynamic financial operations and a clear path for professional development.Job Type & LocationThis is a Permanent position based out of Fort Lauderdale, FL.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $115000.00/yr.
