Growing together.OptumRx is looking for a Financial Consultant to join our Optum Pharmacy Finance Team supporting the Sourcing & Trade function. This individual will support and manage reporting and analysis across all the Optum owned pharmacies for manufacturer value, special buys, wholesaler economics, data & service contracts, and legislative impacts. Financial support of these areas entails understanding drug cost economics, looking for financial opportunities, and reporting on financial performance. This role is critical to every aspect of our business and will require advanced financial modeling skills, attention to detail and the willingness to push forward in an ambiguous environment. This will be a highly visible role, with the opportunity to present your financial findings to various levels of leadership and serve as an integral part in supporting pharmacy leadership to drive financial performance across each of the pharmacies. You'll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely * from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges.Primary Responsibilities:Lead accrual estimation processes across all Optum owned pharmacies and present to finance and accounting leadership on a monthly basisManage the actuals reporting and forecasting for Sourcing & Trade value and develop strong working relationships with finance leads across each pharmacyCreate and maintain financial models regarding various legislative impactsCreate financial models that identify financial opportunities and help inform strategyPull data to maintain and create financial reports on a monthly and quarterly basisComfortable with navigating large data sets and standing up new and improved processes Comfortable working in an environment with competing priorities and tight deadlinesYou'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.Required Qualifications:2+ years of experience in Finance, Accounting, or related fieldsExperience preparing and delivering financial results or modeling to management/leadershipAdvanced Excel skills (pivot tables, large data sets, formulas)Proven ability to analyze data, summarize it, and provide conclusionsPreferred Qualifications:Healthcare experienceExperience pulling data to create/maintain financial reportingExperience working in a matrix environment, building relationships, and partnering with business leaders*All employees working remotely will be required to adhere to UnitedHealth Group's Telecommuter Policy.Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
