About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Behavioral Health Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: 07:00 - 19:00 Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years in inpatient behavioral health nursing License: Active RN license required Certifications: CPI training and BLS required Must-Have: Inpatient behavioral health RN experience. CPI training. Description: The position involves working in an inpatient behavioral health unit. The unit has 17 beds and follows a patient ratio of 2 RNs and 2 behavioral health techs. Staffing includes 2 behavioral health techs and unit secretaries. Minimal equipment is used on the unit. Documentation is done via Meditech. The schedule requires three 12-hour shifts per week, including every other weekend. There is no floating policy. Candidates must adhere to core values of integrity, compassion, accountability, respect, and excellence. Procedures performed on the unit include medication administration, lab draws, and accuchecks. Navy scrubs are the required uniform. An in-house sitter pool is available to assist with 1:1 patients, along with supportive in-house security.
