This unit provides care to patients who have moderate physiologic instability and require monitoring and management of cardiac and pulmonary issues.Unit DetailsNumber of Beds: 18Patient Ratios: 1:4-5Staffing: 2 Patient Care Technicians (PCTs) and 1 Unit SecretaryEquipment: Alaris pumps, Kangaroo pump, Pxysis, and computers available in every roomDocumentation System: MeditechScheduling: Self-scheduling with a requirement of 3 weekend shifts per 4-week scheduleFloating Policy: Travelers first, followed by PRN staff, with floating managed based on the date last floatedPatient Care RequirementsThis unit caters to patients requiring cardiac and respiratory monitoring.
