The experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector orSpecialized Experience for the GS-07: You must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-05 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position includes:* Planning, supervising, administering, or carrying out an educational, recreational, cultural, or other art program such as art festivals, competitions, or workshops; AND* Performing as an artist;OR* Demonstrating the methods and techniques of one or more art forms such as graphics, sculpture, pottery and ceramics, or metalwork and jewelry.You may substitute education for specialized experience as follows: 1 academic year of graduate level education with a major study in the fine or applied arts (18 semesters or 27 quarters)ORBachelor's degree with Superior Academic Achievement with a major study of the fine or applied arts.ORYou may qualify by a combination of experience and education. Options for qualifying based on a combination will be identified in the online questions.In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable:For the GS-07, you must have been at the GS-05 level for 52 weeksTime After Competitive Appointment: Candidates who are current Federal employees serving on a non-temporary competitive appointment must have served at least three months in that appointment.### EducationEducation Requirements: The education generally must be from an accredited (or pre-accredited) college or university recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
