Vice President Human Resources

Tarvos Talent is working with a rapidly growing, Abilene-based organization to identify a VP of Human Resources for an in-office role with flexibility. Responsibilities

• Lead and drive the overall HR strategy and culture across multiple operating companies
• Provide leadership, mentorship, and accountability to HR Managers within each business unit
• Partner with executive leadership to align people strategy with business growth and acquisitions
• Champion and cultivate a strong, values-driven, faith-based culture where employees thrive
• Develop and implement programs focused on employee engagement, retention, and development
• Oversee company-wide events and manage event coordination efforts to reinforce culture and community
• Drive performance management, leadership development, and organizational effectiveness initiatives
• Serve as a trusted advisor to leadership on all HR-related matters

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field
• 5–10+ years of progressive HR leadership experience, with a focus on people/culture leadership
• Proven experience leading HR teams and influencing leaders across an organization
• Background as a Director/Leader of People, Culture, or HR in a growing environment preferred
• Strong tenure history with demonstrated commitment and impact (2–3+ years in roles)
• Experience building and scaling culture in a multi-entity or growing organization is a plus
• High emotional intelligence, strong communication skills, and the ability to influence at all levels
• Motivated, proactive leader with a passion for building something meaningful and speaking into culture
