SUMMARY: Assists with management of the operations and activities of the store and staff; works closely with store manager in making decisions that contribute to the store's success.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Supervises sales floor, providing high-quality customer service and maintaining merchandising and cleanliness standards.
• Ensures inventory, and shrink goals are achieved.
• Ensures that staff is fully trained and has a full knowledge of all products
• Ensures sales floor is fully stocked and that merchandise and visual standards are being upheld.
• Works with store manager to develop creative plans to increase store sales.
• Maintains a high level of customer service by ensuring that merchandising/recovery is completed and that register and customer service area is processing customers in a timely manner.
• Trains, supervises, motivates, and develops staff.
• Assigns duties and monitors quality of work; assures staff conforms to organizational policies and procedures.
• Provides day-to-day guidance and oversight of subordinates; actively works to promote and recognize performance.
• Supervises the unloading of trucks, sorting of merchandise, stocking shelves, ticketing merchandise, and the reconciliation of all cash and inventory transactions.
• Prepares all required reports and paperwork.
• Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Directly supervises 6 employees within the store.
• Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Two to four years related experience or equivalent preferred.
• Knowledge of retail operations and shrink reduction plans.
• Demonstrated proficiency in supervising and motivating subordinates
• Commitment to excellence and high standards
• Excellent customer service skills
• Professional appearance and demeanor
• Ability to effectively communicate with people at all levels and from various backgrounds.
