Associate Software Engineer

Globus Medical

Globus Medical seeks an Associate Software Engineer to develop high-quality software for musculoskeletal medical devices. The role spans the full software development lifecycle, collaborating with clinical and product teams to translate user needs into solutions for surgical and patient care applications.

Responsibilities

Translate clinical, user, and product needs into software designs, interfaces, and verification approaches
Design, implement, debug, and test production-quality software using established engineering practices
Develop prototypes and proofs of concept to evaluate product or technical ideas
Participate in design reviews, code reviews, testing, and release activities
Contribute to medical-device software documentation and follow quality and cybersecurity processes

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, physics, or technical field
Experience designing, implementing, debugging, and testing software in at least one programming language
Experience using AI-assisted development tools while independently validating outputs
Working knowledge of software design, source control, code review, and automated testing
Ability to solve technical problems and learn unfamiliar software system components
Strong written and verbal communication skills and cross-functional collaboration ability
