Position Summary Sam’s Club #6412, 15700 Northline Rd, Southgate, MI 48195-2378. Merchandising & Stocking Associate – Full Time. Pay: $17.00 – $25.00 per hour. Shifts may vary. Our merchandising & stocking associates connect all the dots to make sure members can find everything they have on their shopping list. From everyday needs to special occasions, members need you, as their mini tour guide, to take them that special product. Depending on the shift you work, your job could include moving inventory in the backroom, unloading trucks, fulfilling club pick‑up orders or helping members while stocking shelves. From unloading trucks in the summer to filling ice cream in the freezer, this fast‑paced job can be physically demanding – it’s like being paid to go to the gym! Be a part of a great team with a common goal – making sure members can find more of what they love, for less. Responsibilities Move inventory in the backroom. Unload trucks. Fulfill club pick‑up orders. Assist members while stocking shelves. Promptly unload trucks and process immediate customer requests. Assist fellow associates as needed throughout the store. Sort and stock products on shelves and in the backroom. Engage with vendors and drivers with a positive attitude. Maintain a clean, neat, and member‑ready area. Follow safety sweeps, forklift spotting, hazardous material handling, and steel standard guidelines. Maintain sales floor and merchandise presentation (zoning, stocking, arranging, pricing). Monitor food and merchandise quality (product rotation, code dating, recalls, sanitation). Comply with company policies and ethical standards. Complete work assignments and priorities using policies, data, and resources. Assist with picking and staging club pick‑up orders. Qualifications Ability to lift boxes and other heavy objects weighing more than 25 pounds. Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to adapt to changing work scenarios. Excellent focus on member satisfaction. Comfortable with fast‑paced environments. Effective communication skills. High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
