About the Job
The Solution Train Engineer (STE) is a servant leader and coach for the Agile Release Train (ART). The major responsibilities are to facilitate the ART events and processes. Assist the teams in delivering value, identify cross team dependencies and economic decision making by rolling up team estimation to the program level for visibility. Foster continuous improvements via Inspect and Adapt Workshops and regularly review program boards, feature/story burndowns and burn ups to understand PI progress. Communicate with stakeholders, escalate and remove impediments, help manage risk, and drive relentless improvement. Single point of contact for the Product Owners and Project Manager and the point of escalation for the Scrum Master. Establish the annual calendars for the Program Increments and sprints, facilitate release planning readiness including support of backlog management, event coordination and leadership. The STE will also be responsible to facilitate and guide the work of all Agile Release Trains and Suppliers in the Value Stream. Monitor the solution Kanban and solution health via its Metrics. Work with Release Train Engineers (RTEs) to coordinate delivery. Works closely with Solution Management and Solution Architecture helping to remove roadblocks and manage risks and dependencies.

Qualifications

Bachelor'¿s Degree
•
6+ years of experience in Technology Delivery and Project/Program Management.
•
4+ years of experience with Agile Development, Agile Delivery and Agile Metrics, Agile Methodology
•
Technical Aptitude related to Agile Development, Dev Ops and Architecture
•
Skilled at juggling multiple demands
•
Ability to function well in uncertain situations
•
Experience with negotiation and critical thinking
•
Demonstrates strong sense of urgency, ownership and operates in a collaborative manner
•
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated ability to present complex technical information in a clear manner to peers, developers, and senior leaders
•
Can identify, understand, document, and create functionality aligning with product and capability definition as laid out by product managers
•
Strong organization and time management skills while working in a rapid software development environment
•
Excellent collaboration skills and can effectively work in a team environme
