Position Overview:

The Clinical Supervisor at Orchid Academy serves as a clinical leader, mentor, and systems builder responsible for supporting high-quality, compassionate, and learner-centered ABA services.
This is a salaried leadership position that includes both direct clinical oversight and dedicated non-billable administrative responsibilities. Clinical Supervisors are expected to allocate approximately 10-20 hours per week toward leadership, program management, mentorship, operational support, training development, interdisciplinary collaboration, and organizational initiatives that support the growth and quality of Orchid Academy programs.
This role is designed for professionals who are passionate about developing people, building systems, protecting learner dignity, and contributing to long-term organizational excellence.

Life-Changing Outcomes for Learners & Families

Clinical Quality & Oversight
  • Oversees clinical quality across all assigned learner caseloads.
  • Ensures programming is individualized, meaningful, assent-based, and aligned with learner dignity.
  • Reviews treatment plans, goals, data collection systems, and behavior strategies for quality and consistency.
  • Provides ongoing mentorship and support to BCBAs, LABAs, and BTs to ensure high-quality implementation.
  • Monitors learner progress and helps teams problem-solve barriers to growth quickly and compassionately.
  • Supports transitions across settings including home, school, community, and future environments.
  • Ensures communication systems, academic programming, adaptive skills, and social-emotional development are integrated into care.
Family Partnership
  • Builds trusting relationships with families rooted in collaboration, empathy, and transparency.
  • Provides parent coaching and education using approachable, empowering language.
  • Helps families navigate challenges, celebrate growth, and feel supported throughout their journey.
  • Participates in family trainings, mixers, workshops, and community events.
  • Assists families in understanding programming decisions, goals, and long-term outcomes.
Innovation & Programming
  • Assists in updating and expanding the Orchid Library, curriculum resources, and treatment materials.
  • Helps develop programming systems that reflect current best practices in ABA, SBT/PFA, communication, literacy, adaptive behavior, and learner dignity.
  • Promotes interdisciplinary collaboration and thoughtful integration of related services.

  • Supervises and mentors BCBAs, LABAs, BCBA students, and BTs.

  • Oversees onboarding and orientation for Behavior Technicians.

  • Ensures team members are clinically confident, supported, and continuously growing.

  • May pursue advanced certifications or specialized expertise that strengthen Orchid's training systems.

  • Oversees scheduling and staffing decisions with consideration for learner outcomes, team wellness, and operational sustainability.

Communication & Representation
  • Participates in Orchid communications including newsletters, educational content, trainings, social media collaboration, and family outreach.

Project Management
  • Leads leadership initiatives and special projects from planning to implementation.
  • Maintains timelines, outcomes, organization systems, and accountability measures.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • BCBA certification in good standing with the BACB.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience working as a BCBA providing ABA services across home, clinic, school, and/or community settings.
  • Previous leadership, mentorship, or supervision experience supporting clinical teams.
  • Mastery of skills related to Behavior Technician (BT) management, including mentorship, accountability, performance feedback, scheduling support, and team development.
  • Experience providing effective parent trainings and coaching that empower families through collaboration, education, and compassionate support.
  • Experience conducting client assessments, interpreting clinical data, and developing individualized treatment recommendations aligned with learner needs and outcomes.
  • Experience with assent-based care, SBT/PFA, communication systems, adaptive behavior programming, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
  • Strong organizational, project management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience developing trainings, clinical resources, or scalable operational systems.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to build strong relationships with families and team members.
  • Passion for learner dignity, compassionate care, and leadership development aligned with The Orchid Way.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining high standards of clinical quality and professionalism.
  • Commitment to continuous learning, feedback, and professional growth.
