Job Description
As a Registered Dental Hygienist, you will play a pivotal role in delivering comprehensive dental care and upholding high standards in a patient-focused environment. This role involves providing preventive, therapeutic, and educational services to support patients long-term oral health.
Key Responsibilities:
Patient Care:
Assess patients oral health status, including pre- and post-operative evaluations, treatment planning, and follow-up care.
Perform clinical procedures such as prophylaxis, scaling and root planning, laser therapy, and administering local chemotherapeutic agents.
Take X-rays and intraoral images to support accurate diagnoses and treatment planning.
Preventive Care & Education:
Provide oral hygiene care, including removing deposits and promoting overall oral health.
Educate patients and their families on effective oral hygiene practices, product usage (e.g., sealants, X-rays), and the impact of lifestyle habits (e.g., smoking, diet, alcohol use) on oral health.
Record Management:
Accurately document patient records, including vital signs and dental charting, in compliance with regulatory standards.
Maintain thorough and organized patient charts for effective collaboration with physicians, dentists, and other healthcare providers.
Advanced Procedures:
Perform advanced dental interventions within state licensing regulations, including periodontal therapy and other necessary procedures.
Ensure compliance with Medicare and state-specific dental guidelines.
