We are looking for an Order Entry Specialist to join a fast-moving procurement team in Texas. This contract-to-permanent opportunity is ideal for someone who enjoys accurate data work, can manage a high volume of transactions, and is eager to build long-term skills in order processing and analysis. In this role, you will support purchasing activities for a large retail network by entering orders, reviewing information for accuracy, and helping keep documentation and invoicing on track. The environment is well suited for someone with strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills who is ready to learn and grow with the organization.

Responsibilities:
• Enter and update purchase order information with a high degree of accuracy in a fast-paced, high-volume setting.
• Review incoming order details, verify data, and help resolve discrepancies before processing transactions.
• Support procurement operations by creating purchase orders and coordinating related invoice processing steps.
• Analyze order and transaction data to identify errors, missing information, or items requiring follow-up.
• Use Excel, Word, and other Microsoft Office tools to maintain records, organize documentation, and prepare routine reports.
• Assist with order entry training activities and apply new procedures quickly as business needs evolve.
• Maintain organized files and records for purchasing documents, invoices, and supporting materials.
• Contribute to processes tied to supplier approvals, customs-related documentation, and order workflow requirements as needed.• At least 2 years of experience in data entry, order entry, or a similar administrative support role.
• Some college coursework or an associate’s or bachelor’s degree is required.
• Strong accuracy and speed in entering numeric and text-based information.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and other Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to learn new systems and processes in a high-volume business environment.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and record maintenance skills.
• Strong communication skills, including email etiquette, basic grammar, and customer service support.
• Demonstrated willingness to learn, take direction, and grow within the organization.
