  • Conducting comprehensive trauma-informed mental health assessments to understand patients' histories and determine appropriate therapeutic interventions tailored to their specific needs.

  • Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans that focus on trauma recovery, resilience-building, and the overall mental health improvement of clients.

  • Delivering evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including modalities such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).

  • Facilitating individual and group therapy sessions to aid clients in processing their trauma, developing coping strategies, and enhancing their healing journey.

  • Collaborating effectively with psychiatrists and other mental health professionals to ensure a unified approach to care for each patient.

  • Providing crisis intervention and immediate support during trauma-related emergencies to ensure client safety and well-being.

  • Educating clients and their family members about trauma responses, coping mechanisms, and available support resources to empower their recovery process.

  • Maintaining accurate, confidential documentation in compliance with legal, ethical, and organizational standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

At Highland Rivers Counseling, LLC, we serve a diverse client population primarily affected by various forms of trauma. Our patients may present with PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. Qualifications\n

  • A Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

  • Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LCPC, or LMFT in the state of Illinois.

  • Strong knowledge and experience in trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment modalities.

  • Demonstrated ability to deliver trauma-focused therapies and interventions effectively.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and an empathetic, non-judgmental approach to client interactions.

  • Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems and other relevant computer applications.

Preferred Experience\n

  • A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience in the mental health field, preferably specializing in trauma.

  • Experience in facilitating both individual and group therapy sessions grounded in evidence-based practices.

Compensation and Benefits\n

This full-time position offers a competitive salary range of $90,000 to $110,000 annually, reflecting your experience and qualifications.
