LHH Recruitment Solutions is searching for an Accounting Specialist for a contract to hire/direct hire opportunity in Virginia Beach, Virginia.

Accounting Specialist Responsibilities:

• Carrying out administrative duties such as answering phone calls, greeting visitors, responding to emails, and preparing documents.
• Performing bookkeeping tasks such as receiving/printing vendor invoices, matching vendor invoices to appropriate receiving documents, updating the status of materials received, tracking project progression from proposal through shipping, and other support as needed.
• Entering accounts payable bills into QuickBooks once approved.
• Reconciling company credit card statements and receipts for posting into QuickBooks.
• Assisting with project job costing in Excel.
• Updating proposals, purchase orders, and release logs regularly.
• Maintaining general office files, including vendor files and other files related to the company's operations.
• Purchasing office supplies.
• Performing other relevant duties when needed.

Accounting Specialist Requirements:

• High school diploma or some college in business, administration, or a related field.
• 1 year experience in entry-level accounting or higher.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams).
• Comfortable handling confidential information.
• Multi-tasking and strong time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks.

$20.00-24.00 per hour
