Kubernetes Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Kubernetes Engineer to design, deploy, manage, and optimize Kubernetes-based container platforms for modern cloud-native applications. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in container orchestration, cloud infrastructure, automation, and platform operations. You will collaborate with DevOps, Platform Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), and application development teams to build secure, scalable, and highly available Kubernetes environments.

Key responsibilities include:

• Design, deploy, configure, and manage Kubernetes clusters in on-premises, hybrid, and cloud environments.
• Build and maintain scalable container platforms for microservices-based applications.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and Kubernetes deployments using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and GitOps practices.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for containerized applications.
• Monitor Kubernetes cluster health, application performance, resource utilization, and availability.
• Implement autoscaling, load balancing, networking, ingress, and service discovery solutions.
• Configure and manage Kubernetes security, RBAC, network policies, secrets management, and compliance controls.
• Troubleshoot cluster, networking, storage, and container runtime issues.
• Optimize Kubernetes environments for performance, reliability, scalability, and cost efficiency.
• Collaborate with development, DevOps, cloud, and security teams to improve platform reliability.
• Maintain documentation, operational procedures, and platform standards.

Required qualifications include:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 3–6 years of experience in Kubernetes, DevOps, Platform Engineering, Cloud Engineering, or Infrastructure Engineering.
• Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes administration and container orchestration.
• Experience with Docker and containerized application deployment.
• Proficiency in Linux system administration.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Strong understanding of networking concepts including DNS, TCP/IP, load balancing, ingress, and service mesh fundamentals.
• Experience with Git and scripting using Bash, Python, or Go.

Preferred qualifications include:

• Experience with managed Kubernetes services such as Amazon EKS, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), or Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE).
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Pulumi, or AWS CloudFormation.
• Experience implementing GitOps using Argo CD or Flux.
• Knowledge of Helm, Kustomize, and Kubernetes Operators.
• Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, ELK Stack, Datadog, or Splunk.
• Familiarity with service mesh technologies such as Istio, Linkerd, or Consul.
• Experience with secrets management tools such as HashiCorp Vault or cloud-native secret management services.

• Relevant certifications such as Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA), Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD), AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, or Google Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer.
