We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic with strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting abilities to support a growing manufacturing operation in Sandston, VA. This individual will play a critical role in maintaining production equipment, minimizing downtime, and ensuring the facility operates safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform emergency repairs on production equipment to minimize downtime.
• Complete preventive and predictive maintenance on manufacturing machinery.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and electromechanical systems.
• Diagnose equipment failures and determine effective corrective actions.
• Repair or replace motors, controllers, switches, sensors, relays, contactors, and other electrical components.
• Repair or replace bearings, belts, chains, gearboxes, shafts, rollers, and other mechanical components.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and equipment manuals.
• Collaborate with production personnel to identify equipment issues and improve machine reliability.
• Assist with equipment installations, upgrades, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain accurate maintenance documentation and equipment repair records.
• Monitor inventory of maintenance parts, tools, and supplies.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while following all company safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO).
• Communicate equipment concerns and repair recommendations with supervisors and team members.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Technical degree in Industrial Maintenance, Electrical Technology, Mechanical Technology, or related field preferred.
• Minimum 2+ years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Journeyman Maintenance Mechanic experience is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, industrial electrical systems, pneumatics, and maintenance practices.
• Ability to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues independently.
• Experience reading electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and within a team.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a high-speed manufacturing environment.
• Preventive and predictive maintenance experience.
• Ability to calibrate, test, and repair electronic control systems.
• Experience troubleshooting production equipment with electrical controls.
• Familiarity with CMMS or computerized maintenance management systems.
