Project Engineer

Job Description

Drive product vision, roadmap, and strategy for Government Aviation communications products.

Collect customer feedback, operational use cases, and market requirements.

Lead systems engineering activities from requirements definition through verification and validation.

Develop and maintain system requirements using DOORS/Jama.

Lead architecture discussions, trade studies, and requirements decomposition.

Oversee system integration, verification testing, and sustainment activities.

Coordinate cross-functional teams including engineering, production, supply chain, and operations.

Support technical reviews including SRR, PDR, and CDR.

Mentor multidisciplinary engineering teams and stakeholders.

Transition internally funded IRAD efforts into customer programs.

Skills and Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.

10+ years of communications systems experience.

Strong networking background (IP networking, routing, firewalls).

Experience with Linux and containerized systems.

Strong systems engineering background.

Experience leading technical teams and stakeholders.

Understanding of MIL-STD requirements and testing methods.

Ability to drive product roadmap and requirements management. Aviation communications experience.

SATCOM terminal experience.

Knowledge of WGS Certification, MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-461, MIL-STD-1275, DO-160, and RMF.

Secret Clearance or ability to obtain one
