Measurement Technician

Measurement TechnicianHF Sinclair Midstream is seeking a Measurement Technician. This position conducts intermediate-level measurement assignments and duties for assigned Department under limited supervision to ensure the measured and scheduled movement of lease crude oil occurs in a cost effective manner in compliance with State and Federal regulations.Job Duties:Ensures all assigned operations conform to both State and Federal regulations (i.e., DOT, OSHA, and BLM)Witness Meter ProvingBasic understanding with flow computers, metering systems and associated equipmentMeasures and grades crude oil receipts and deliveries by truck, pipeline and refinery LACTBalances volumes between load and delivery point in compliance with policies and procedures governing operations and measurementEnsures all measurement devices are operatingPerforms quality control checks to ensure integrity and accurate measurement at point of purchaseAssists with design and sets up new delivery locationsCoordinates with all drivers and management to ensure all interactions with the assigned division flow smoothlyTracks, troubleshoots, and maintains all truck and pipeline LACTsMaintains daily reports as required to ensure operations are being performed cost effectively and efficiently and ensures accuracyAssists with product movement gain/loss issuesMay observe daily employee functions and assist with training needs as neededSpecial assignments or tasks assigned to the employee by their supervisor, as determined from time to time in their sole and complete discretionExperience:A minimum of three years of on-the-job experience is required.A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent is required.Technical or Associate's degree is preferred.Required Skills:Ability to perform intermediate mathematical calculations (i.e. algebra) and proficiency with spreadsheet and word-processing software applications.Good mechanical ability and understanding of operational principles of assigned area's testing instruments.Intermediate reading and writing skills, organizational skills, and the ability to effectively communicate with others, both written and verbal communication.Ability to complete all required classroom and CBT training.Ability to achieve high proficiency scores.Work Conditions:Field based with up to 50% of travel by land and air required.Petroleum refinery, out-of-doors environment, driver based environment, warehouse/plant environment including but not limited to chemicals, pressure vessels, tanks, rotating equipment, working in confined spaces, exposure to the risk of electrical shock, and all temperatures including outdoor weather.Subject to all temperatures, weather, and varying road conditions.Benefits:Medical InsuranceVision InsuranceDental InsurancePaid Time-Off401(k) Retirement Plan with matchEducational ReimbursementParental Bonding TimeEmployee DiscountsPhysical Requirements:Job conditions require standing, walking, sitting, twisting, stooping, crouching, kneeling, talking or hearing, making visual inspections, making precise hand or finger movements, reaching or grasping, lifting and/or carrying up to 50 lbs, pushing and/or pulling up to 50 lbs, climbing up to 60 ft, strenuous physical activity, perceiving color differences, ability to wear personal protective equipment (beards not permitted), and respirator fit test.Our One HF Sinclair Culture:At HF Sinclair, we are united through our One HF Sinclair Culture, which is underpinned by our five core values of Safety, Integrity, Teamwork, Ownership and Inclusion.About HF Sinclair Corporation:HF Sinclair Corporation, headquartered in Dallas, Texas, is an independent energy company that produces and markets high-value light products such as gasoline, diesel fuel, jet fuel, renewable diesel and lubricants and specialty products.Equal Opportunity Employer:HF Sinclair Corporation is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
