About the Position

Job Description:

Seeking an experienced Histology Technician for the Pathology Laboratory. The candidate will be responsible for receiving and accessioning surgical specimens into Cerner, collecting tissue blocks from PA staff, tissue processing, embedding, microtomy (cutting), and staining slides. The department also handles Pathology, Cytology, and IHC services.

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 5:00 AM – 1:30 PM

Requirements

Minimum 2 years of experience in Histology/Pathology Laboratory.
ASCP certification (HT/HLT) required.
Successful completion of a formal Histology Technologist training program OR an Associate's degree in Chemical, Physical, or Biological Sciences.
Experience with specimen processing, embedding, slide cutting, and staining.
Cerner experience preferred.
Must be comfortable working across Pathology, Cytology, and IHC.
