Yes, you may operate equipment at times — but that is NOT the primary role at entry level. The majority of your day will involve: Digging trenches Using shovels, rakes, and hand tools Site cleanup and preparation Loading and unloading materials Working outdoors in heat, mud, dust, and changing weather Supporting crews wherever needed This is hands-on, boots-on-the-ground work for people who are willing to WORK. POSITION DETAILS Entry-Level Laborer / Equipment Operator Full-Time Weekly Pay Starting Pay: $20–$28 per hour Overtime opportunities available Out-of-town travel required during busy season CDL-A Preferred — NOT Required Heavy equipment training provided to the right candidate RESPONSIBILITIES Perform physical labor on active jobsites Assist crews with trenching, grading, and site preparation Operate hand tools safely and efficiently Learn equipment operation through hands‑on training Inspect and maintain equipment daily Follow all company safety procedures and DOT regulations Work as part of a fast-moving construction team WHY DHT? Knowledge of proper operation of heavy equipment as well as safety standards. Ability to maintain, inspect, clean, and occasionally repair pieces of heavy equipment. Keen attention to detail and situational awareness to maintain the safety of the work environment. Strong work ethic.
