Contracts Manager, Transformation and Excellence, Google Procurement Organization

Lead end-to-end contracting strategy for high-complexity, high-impact engagements; structure agreements to protect business interests, capture supplier innovation, and optimize total cost.Partner cross-functionally to pilot and scale AI-powered contract lifecycle management (CLM) solutions—including automated clause generation, intake triage, risk scoring, and post-signature obligation monitoring.Design scalable workflows that strategically leverage extended workforce resources, self-service playbooks, and managed service partners to shift internal bandwidth from routine drafting to negotiation.Serve as a business partner across Category Management, Legal, Security, Compliance, and executive stakeholders, establishing clear governance and agile negotiation frameworks.Monitor modern contracting metrics (e.g., cycle time velocity, clause deviation rates, automation adoption, compliance leakage) to iteratively optimize contracting standards and operating models.Minimum qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Law or equivalent practical experience.7 years of experience in contract management, operations, or procurement, with direct exposure to commercial transactions.Experience leading or contributing to procurement modernization initiatives regarding contract lifecycle management (CLM) implementations, or process re-engineering projects.Experience with structuring and negotiating commercial terms in domains such as Marketing, Professional Services, or Technology.Preferred qualifications:Master’s degree or relevant professional certification (e.g., CCMP, CPCM, WCC).Experience evaluating or deploying emerging digital tools and generative AI applications within legal tech or procurement (e.g., AI-assisted redlining, intelligent repository discovery, contract intelligence platforms).Strong change-management background with experience driving adoption of new technologies, playbooks, and operating models across global teams.Expertise in vendor risk frameworks, data privacy, IP governance, and multi-region regulatory landscapes.Excellent executive communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to translate operational bottlenecks into digital/AI roadmap opportunities.In the Google Procurement Organization (GPO), our aim is to unlock value to reinvest in what matters most.
