Job Description

We are seeking experienced Skilled Concrete Finishers to support a growing, non-union contractor performing municipal concrete repair and replacement work throughout the Greater Saint Louis area. This is a travel-based assignment, ideal for candidates looking for steady hours, per diem, and consistent project flow. Our team performs high-volume repair and replacement work including sidewalks, parking lots, dock slabs, and related flatwork. Crews move directly from one job to the next, ensuring continuous work with no gaps between projects.

Responsibilities

• Perform full-cycle concrete work including demo, prep, placement, and finishing.
• Set forms for flatwork such as sidewalks, approaches, slabs, and stairs.
• Place reinforcement including rebar and dowels.
• Spread, screed, float, edge, broom, and/or trowel concrete to specification.
• Finish concrete cleanly around edges, fixtures, and structures.
• Set and adjust grates/frames to grade and finish accordingly.
• Operate jobsite equipment such as bobcats and backhoes.
• Use hand tools, saws, vibrators, and other concrete equipment.
• Maintain safety standards and jobsite expectations.

Essential Skills

• 5-10 or more years of concrete labor experience.
• Proven concrete finishing skills.
• Experience in setting forms and flatwork.
• Ability to work around grates and frames, setting to grade and finishing neatly.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with concrete demo, including saw cutting and jackhammering.
• Ability to read basic prints/layout or run/assist with grade using laser/levels.
• Experience with sidewalk/ADA-style repairs, steps, approaches, and slab replacement work.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $34.00/hr.
