Job Description
Registered Nurse - Emergency Department

Schedule

12-hour evening shifts from 3:00 PM to 3:30 AM, with every other weekend required.

Assignment Details

Contract length of 36 hours per week. Must work 2 out of 3 winter holidays.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a fast-paced emergency department with pediatric patient care strongly preferred.
• Epic experience required.
• Current certifications: ACLS, CPI, PALS, TNCC.
• General Emergency Department skills including interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, and triage.
• Local candidates within 50 miles will have a rate decrease of $15.

Responsibilities

• Provide care for a diverse range of patients from simple to complex cases.
• Utilize skills in conscious sedation, and participate in trauma, stroke, and cath lab alerts.
• Engage in a team nursing approach, floating as necessary to assist in different areas.
• Participate in patient sitting as required.
• Conduct abuse, assault, neglect evaluations, and handle psychiatric emergencies.
• Manage oncological, neurological emergencies, and other critical situations.
