Emergency Department Technician

Overview Supports nursing and physician staff by performing tasks that assist in the care and treatment of patients with illnesses and injuries. Serves as a liaison among members of the healthcare team, patients and families. Organizes, replaces and maintains inventory and supply levels in the Department. Assists in other department-related activities. Take a proactive approach in anticipating the needs of the patient and/or care team by performing and completing tasks within scope of practice. Qualifications H.S. Diploma or GED Upon hire: Washington Medical Assistant Phlebotomist Certification Upon hire: Washington Nursing Assistant Certification License Or Upon hire: Washington Nursing Assistant Registered Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association 1 year Recent emergency department or related medical experience providing direct patient care, preferably in a free-standing emergency department. EMT-B recent experience will be considered. EMT-B procedures and skills allowed are generally non-invasive. Preferred Qualifications Coursework/Training Nursing or other health care related training.
