TIG Welder Fabricator We are seeking a skilled TIG Welder Fabricator to join our team in the final assembly department. You will be responsible for fabricating machined and cut-to-size parts, primarily using TIG welding techniques, with occasional MIG welding. This role requires you to oversee and support all TIG welding and the final assembly of products. Shift: 4pm-3am Monday-Thursday with OT on Fridays Responsibilities Perform TIG welding on stainless steel, primarily 14 gauge, in multiple positions. Use hand tools such as angle grinders and sanders to finish rough edges. Operate additional equipment like tube benders, drill presses, and saws. Read and interpret blueprints for each client-specific job in short-run production. Collaborate with a team of 10 welders to ensure seamless assembly processes. Essential Skills Minimum of 10 years of TIG stainless steel experience, particularly on 14 gauge. Minimum of 10 years of experience reading and interpreting blueprints, including understanding symbols and tolerances. Strong attention to detail and ability to work quickly and efficiently. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in fabrication and assembly. Familiarity with machine shop tools like lathes, Bridgeport, saws, and grinders. Pipefitting and MIG welding experience is preferred. Currently pursuing an Associate's degree in Welding Technologies is a plus. Why Work Here? Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Madison Heights, MI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $26.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
