- Performing thorough patient evaluations, ordering necessary diagnostics, and crafting customized treatment plans
- Diagnosing and managing acute, episodic, or chronic conditions collaboratively with medical professionals or independently (as credentials allow)
- Instructing patients and families on wellness, prevention strategies, and chronic disease management
- Prescribing medications and therapies aligned with your practice scope
- Engaging in follow-up care and chronic illness management
- Partnering with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care
- Accurately documenting patient encounters in electronic medical records (EMR)
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
- Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
- Valid Nurse Practitioner licensure in Texas
- National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or equivalent
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or capability to obtain within 90 days)
- Strong clinical insight combined with a nurturing bedside manner
- Exceptional communication abilities with patients, families, and colleagues
- Versatile adaptability in dynamic, patient-focused settings
- Skilled in EMR systems and comfortable utilizing telemedicine
