Vice President of Sales

We’re about to launch an AI-native version of h2x, and we’re looking for a sales leader who can turn a proven, founder-led team into a global sales machine.

WHY THIS ROLE

Every building runs on mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems that must be sized right before anyone breaks ground. Today that work is scattered across spreadsheets, CAD, PDFs and tools that don’t talk to each other, so engineers spend their time reconciling instead of designing, and a small error can become a fire hazard or a flood on site.

Our CEO started h2x after living that problem as a mechanical engineer. We’re building toward one-click design: every design sized, provable, coordinated and ready to build. Get that right, and h2x becomes the standard the industry designs against.

WHERE WE'RE AT

• 600+ engineering and contracting firms across the UK, Australia, New Zealand, Canada and the US
• Engineers genuinely love using it, and our customer retention and reviews show it
• Capital efficient and built mostly on inbound
• Outbound and expansion are newly launched and already working
• The US is our fastest-growing market, and we expect it to become our biggest
• Next-generation h2x, rebuilt around AI, launches soon. It opens a self-serve route for smaller firms and a bigger enterprise upsell path, with new pricing to match
• You’d join right as that lands, with a Series A on the horizon

WHAT YOU'LL BUILD

Our GTM co-founder leads sales today, with seven reps across the UK and US. Your job is to take what works and build the machine that carries h2x through its next 10x:

• Separate motions for inbound, outbound, expansion and self-serve, and for SMB vs enterprise
• Playbooks for each customer type: engineering consultants and contractors, across disciplines and use cases
• The team: hiring plan, ramp, coaching, territories, quotas and comp design
• The numbers: pipeline, conversion, deal size, cycle length, and a forecast the board can trust
• The connective tissue: a two-way SLA with marketing, a clean handoff with customer success, and a real feedback loop into product

You’ll own sales globally, sit on the exec team and own the sales line at board level.

YOUR FIRST 90 DAYS

We want two things: quick wins that move things now, and a thoughtful plan to strengthen the foundations and put the people, systems and processes in place for the next stage of growth.

• Review customer segments and sales motions end to end, and turn them into clear, documented playbooks
• Assess the team, individuals, structure and roles. Tell us what it should look like, where the capability gaps are, and set out a team structure and hiring plan
• Review compensation and incentives person by person
• Reset reporting, revenue ops, forecasting and performance measurement
• Build a milestone-based plan for transitioning responsibility from the founder to you

WHAT'S NOT YOUR JOB

• A personal quota or carrying deals, ever. Sit in on calls to learn, but this role is about building the machine
• Marketing (anything pre-SQL), product roadmap, or customer success and renewals. You own the commercial upside on expansion

THIS IS PROBABLY YOU IF

• You’ve taken a B2B SaaS company through a real step change in growth and want to do it again
• You’ve run a high-velocity motion and a complex enterprise motion side by side, as two separate machines
• You’ve built sales around a self-serve or product-led motion and know how to turn usage into revenue
• You’re deeply process-driven and would rather build the machine than close the deals
• Bonus: you’ve sold into construction, engineering or AEC
